N*thing is Possible: Potato Head’s Zero-Waste Exhibition in Singapore

Exploring Sustainable Design Solutions in Hospitality

The N*thing is Possible exhibition is taking place at Singapore’s National Design Centre

Potato Head, a renowned hospitality brand, presents the N*thing is Possible exhibition in Singapore, showcasing its commitment to eliminating landfill waste. Co-curated by Potato Head and OMA’s David Gianotten, the exhibition features recycled-plastic products by designers like Max Lamb and Studio Toogood, highlighting innovative approaches to sustainability in design.

Potato Head’s N*thing is Possible exhibition at Singapore’s National Design Centre unveils a compelling narrative of sustainability in hospitality design. Mounds of waste materials serve as the backdrop, emphasizing the brand’s dedication to repurposing and recycling.

Showcased within this innovative setting are products crafted from recycled materials, each piece a testament to creative ingenuity and environmental responsibility. From Max Lamb’s vibrant recycled-plastic chair to Studio Toogood’s outdoor furniture woven from discarded bottle caps, the exhibition presents a diverse array of sustainable design solutions.

In addition to man-made waste materials, the exhibition also features products crafted from natural materials, echoing the eco-conscious ethos of Potato Head’s Desa resort in Bali. Ceramics by Max Lamb, made from Balinese red clay and volcanic sand, and bamboo chairs suspended from the ceiling exemplify the brand’s commitment to holistic sustainability.

Central to the exhibition is a cylindrical structure constructed from repurposed wooden shutters, symbolizing Potato Head’s journey towards zero waste. A timeline chronicles the brand’s efforts to reduce landfill waste, reflecting both successes and challenges encountered along the way.

Potato Head’s transparency and willingness to share its sustainability journey extend beyond the exhibition. Through informative posters detailing the brand’s methods and processes, known as the “blueprint,” Potato Head invites collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the hospitality industry.
